  Note: An additional Fee of SR 8 (Saudi Riyal Eight) is levied on each Service as contribution towards the Indian Workers Welfare Fund (IWWF). Additional Processing Fee of SR 15 (Saudi Riyal Fifteen) will be charged by M/s VFS Global.  All fees are to be paid in Saudi Riyals in Cash at the Counter along with application. Fees once paid are not refunded, even if the application is withdrawn or the service refused for whatsoever reason.


 
   
Issue of  New Passport - General Guidelines

(Time required : In normal course, on the 4th working day from the date of submission of application or on date of delivery as printed in the acknowledgement receipt)

 
1)
Application for reissue (new booklet) of passport can be submitted if the final validity of the passport is less than one year.  If a passport is renewed after one year from the date of its expiry, an affidavit (AFF 7.pdf) 0   ) )is to be filled and additional fees of SR 94/- is payable

2) The validity of a passport cannot be extended beyond the date of its final validity. An application for a new passport has to be submitted along with the old passport and copy of Iqama (residence permit). form_1.pdf Form 1.doc
3)
An applicant has the option to apply for an ordinary passport booklet of 36 pages (SR 282) or a Jumbo passport booklet of 60 pages (SR 376) of ten-year validity.
 
   
4)
A separate passport must be obtained by every individual. A child's name can no longer be endorsed on a parent's passport.
 
   
5)
The applicant should submit the application in person for identification or through authorized representative
 
   
6)
Three Recent photographs showing frontal view of full face in civilian clothes taken in a studio (Polaroid photographs and photographs with dark glasses or uniforms are not accepted) should be submitted along with the application

Documents in Arabic should be accompanied with typed English translation from authorized translator

Supporting documents like marriage certificate (to be attested by the Secretariat or General Admin./Home Department of the same State Govt. where marriage took place), birth registration certificate, affidavits should either be issued by a Government body or attested by one.
 
   
9)
Applicants are advised to ensure that their application in the prescribed format is complete in all respects; that all columns are correctly and legibly filled up and no column left blank, unfilled/non responded to or vaguely filled with a dash, tick, etc. All signatures in the application should be with ballpoint pen.
 
   
10)
It is an offence under the Passports Act 1967 to furnish false information in the application. Passport facilities could be denied on grounds of suppression of material information, submission of incorrect particulars, willful damage/loss of passport or for unauthorized change/tampering. The Passport can be impounded or revoked for violation of one or more of the provisions of the Passport Act.
 
   
11)
It is an offence to hold more than one valid passport at a time. Those Indian citizens acquiring citizenship/passport of another country should immediately surrender their Indian Passport to the Indian Embassy/Consulate. For detailed instructions and penalty, kindly see the attached document.

Minors are issued passports for 5 years or up to attaining 18 years, whichever is earlier.  Passport applications (Form 1.pdf), along with passport copies of parents, should be signed by both parents.  Minor should affix his/her signature or thumb impression in the “Signature Boxes”.

Note :  THE CHILD SHOULD BE PHYSICALLY PRESENT IN THE KINGDOM AT THE TIME OF SEEKING PASSPORT SERVICE.  Under no circumstances should the parents try to obtain passport service for a child who is not present in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Minors between the age of 15 and 18 have the option to apply for a full validity passport (ten years) by payment of fees as applicable for issue of passports to persons above 18 years of age. However, a ten-year validity passport in such cases will be issued only on receipt of police verification report.

·   Original Passport (including subsequent additional booklets if     any)
·   New Passport form (Form1.pdf) duly signed by both parents (Child should affix his/her signature or thumb impression in the “Signature Boxes”)

·   Copy of iqama

Requirements for submitting an Application for issue of Separate Passport to Minor Child whose name is presently included in mother's/father's passport:-
·   Mother's/Father's passport in original
·   Photocopy of the passport page where entry of the child's name exists
·   New Passport form (Form 1.pdf) duly signed byboth parents on its back (Child should affix his/her signature or thumb impression in the “Signature Boxes”)

.  Passport copies of both parents with their names on each other's passport.

·   3 latest passport size photographs(Please See Photograph Requirements Document)

·   Copy of iqama

·  Affidavit of Parents for Separate Passport in Favour of Minor Child – Form4A.pdf(to be signed by both parents if residing in KSA), or

·  Affidavit ( AFF 2.pdf ) signed by one parent if the other parent’s signature cannot be obtained, or

17)
Every child who is born to Indian parent(s) in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is issued a separate Passport.  It is not possible to include the child’s name in the Passport of mother/father/brother/sister
 
   
18)
The birth of every child born in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Indian parent(s) is required to be registered with the Embassy of India, Riyadh or Consulate General of India, Jeddah depending upon areas of jurisdiction. 

The birth of a child in Riyadh, Dammam, Jubail, Hofuf, Aljouf, Buraidah, Qurayat, Hafr-al-Batin, Al-Khafji, Wadi-al-Dawasir, Rafah, Arar and nearby areas, in the Northern/Eastern provinces of KSA is required to be registered with the Embassy.  A Birth Certificate is issued by the Embassy to the child after registering his/her name as an Indian national and a separate Passport is issued to the New Born child.

Requirements for Birth Registration & Separate Passport (BRSP) for Child:

·  Birth certificate from M/o Health along with its English  translation in original

·  Birth registration application and Certificate of Entry forms (Forms 4.pdf ) (Birth certificate should be filled in duplicate – one copy is returned to the applicant after registration)

.  New Passport form (Form 1.pdf) duly signed by both parents (Child's thumb impression should be affixed in the “Signature Boxes”)

·  Father’s/Mother’s passport with their names on each other's passport.

·  Photocopy of Father’s and Mother’s Passport

·  Copy of marriage certificate duly attested by Home/GA Department of the State Government concerned if husband’s name is not included in wife’s passport

·  Three (3) passport size photographs of the child (Please See Photograph Requirements Document)

·  Affidavit of Parents for Separate Passport in Favour of Minor Child –   Form4A.pdf  (to be signed by both parents if residing in KSA), or

·  Affidavit (AFF 2.pdf) signed by one parent if the other parent’s signature cannot be obtained, or

Note:

All Indian nationals living in Saudi Arabia are informed that they should register the birth of their children within one-year of birth in order to get an Indian Passport issued to them. It may be noted that a delay beyond one-year may create problems in automatic acquisition of Indian citizenship and issuance of an Indian passports for their children. For any assistance and further information, they may contact the Passport Wing of the Embassy.  In case birth registration of new-born baby with the Mission is not done within one-year from date of birth, two copies of the requisite form are sent to Ministry of Home Affairs and one copy is retained by the Mission. Registration of the new-born baby and issue of passport to the new-born baby will be done only after receipt of clearance from Ministry of Home Affairs. In case the validity of the lost/damaged passport has already expired, a new passport is issued on payment of normal fees of SR 282 or SR 376 only. However, all other requirements as listed in para 20 or 21, as the case may be, have to be completed in such cases also.

Requirements for issue of an Emergency Certificate for one-way travel to India in case of non-availability of a valid Passport with the applicant and where a new passport cannot be issued immediately:-
