Outsourcing of Passport and Consular Services

The Embassy of India, Riyadh has entered into a contract with M/s VFS GCC LLC for outsourcing its Passport, Visa and Consular services. The outsourcing of consular services covers areas of Central and Eastern regions falling under the jurisdiction of Embassy of India, Riyadh. The services of the agency has commenced at Riyadh on 11th February, 2009, at Dammam on 1st March, 2009. Tours to scattered places in the area of consular jurisdiction have commenced from 1st April, 2009. This is in line with Government of India’s policy to reach out to a large Indian community in different parts of the world including the Gulf region and provide efficient and transparent services in a comfortable environment to the community with minimum additional financial liability.

With effect from 15 April 2013, Tatkal service on passports will be available at the Umm Ul Hammam office of VFS Global. No application will be accepted in the Embassy premises. The application will be accepted between 9.00-11.30 am and delivery will be from 5.00 pm to 6.00 pm on all working days.

Additional service charges to be levied by M/S VFS GCC LLC:
For Indian passport-related services: SAR 15/- per application
For Attestation of documents: SAR 10/- per document
For Visa: SAR 70/- per application
In Free Renewal cases: VFS will take one-time service charge only.

Indian Community Welfare Fund (ICWF):
An additional fee of SAR 8/- along with the requisite govt. fees and charges of service provider is also charged from all passport, consular and visa applicants for the welfare of the Indian community in the kingdom.

Tatkal Services
Tatkal service for issue of passport is also available and applicant has to submit application at the Umm Al Hammam VAC of VFS. Besides passport fee as applicable a tatkal charges of SR 575 is charged per application. The service is normally rendered on the same day subject to clear records except in case of lost/damaged passports wherein the services is rendered in one week.

Notes: -
1. After seven working days, if the passport is not collected by the applicant from the office where the application was submitted, he/she will have to collect the same from the Embassy.
2. Diplomatic and Official passports applications will continue to be received at the Embassy as per the established procedure.
3. Indian-Citizenship related enquiries will be handled at the Embassy telephonically or in person and then applications may be submitted at the above office.
4. The applicant may be required to visit the Embassy on the following day or any other working day if deemed necessary to meet the consular officer in person for the Visa Services or Indian Passport-related services i.e. re-issue of a new passport, change of any personal particulars printed on the first page or last laminated page of the passport, free renewal cases, Birth Registration and issue of separate passports to new born-babies, Loss of Passport and Damaged passport cases, change of appearance etc.
5. The delivery schedules mentioned above are tentative; please check your printed acknowledgment for the exact date of delivery.
