General Information

In accordance with the rules and regulations of the Government of India, the Embassy grants visa, on application, to those intending to visit India for tourist, business and other purposes.

Visa Application Forms are available free of cost at the Embassy. Photocopied or downloaded Visa Application Forms are also acceptable. Applicable fees, two recent passport size photographs , photo copy of ID card/ Iqama Copy, proof of confirmation of hotel accommodation, airlines ticket and the passport - valid for a at least six months beyond the applied visa period - should accompany the application.

Note: Applicants visiting India are advised to abide by the law of the land and not to misuse status of their respective visa granted by the Mission. Indulgence in any unlawful or undesirable practice will be dealt with strictly.

Timings : Embassy of India, Riyadh has outsourced its consular services to M/s VFS GCC LLC with effect from 11th February, 2009. Visa applications are received at Sulemaniya Office of VFS between 0830 hrs. and 1500 hrs.  on all working days (i.e., Saturday through Wednesday) and visas are normally issued on the 4th working day or as per the date given in the printed acknowledgement receipt. Official and diplomatic passport applications will continue to be received at the Embassy between 8.30AM and 11.30AM. For more information on outsourcing, pl. click here

For foreigners who do not hold a valid resident permit for Saudi Arabia, a reference will be made to the Indian Mission in their country of residence and would require additional processing time and fee of SR.100 (Saudi Riyals One hundred).

The period of validity of the visa begins from the date of issue of visa.

The Embassy reserves the right to refuse visa without assigning any reason. Visa fee is charged regardless of whether visa is issued or not.
