1)

For change of maiden name to married name, address, ECNR status on marriage and for inclusion of husband's name in the passport:-

  •  Application in the Miscellaneous Services Form (Form 2.pdf)

  •  Original Passport (including subsequent additional booklets if any)

  •  Photocopy of inside cover pages and other relevant pages of the passport.

  •  Copy of Marriage Certificate issued by a Govt. authority or attested by the Statement Government/Ministry of External Affairs.

  •  Affidavit for change of maiden name to married name (AFF 5.pdf)

  •  (For ECNR) Copy of husband's passport indicating ECNR status

  •  If change of name is due to change of religion then Change of Religion Affidavit (AFF 10.pdf) may also be submitted.

For change of name of minor:-

  •  Application in the Miscellaneous Services Form (Form 2.pdf)

  •  Original Passport (including subsequent additional booklets if any)

  •  Photocopy of inside cover pages and other relevant pages of the passport.

  • Original Cuttings of advertisement in two newspapers - one in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the other in India.

  •  Application on plain paper signed by both the parents.

For change of address:-

  •  Application in the Miscellaneous Services Form (Form 2.pdf)

  •  Original Passport (including subsequent additional booklets if any)

  •  Photocopy of inside cover pages and other relevant pages of the passport.

  •  Proof of residential address, i.e., Ration Card, Electricity Bill/Telephone Bill / Property tax return, etc.

In case, the present passport was issued by the Passport Issuing Authority other than Embassy of India, Riyadh (or issued by Riyadh within the last one year), a reference is made to the original/previous passport issuing authority  and may take a few weeks time for the confirmation to be received.  The address is changed in the passport only after receipt of such confirmation.

For change of date of birth:-

  •  Application in the Miscellaneous Services Form (Form 2.pdf)

  •  Original Passport (including subsequent additional booklets if any)

  •  Photocopy of inside cover pages and other relevant pages of the passport.

  •  Declaratory order from a First Class Judicial Magistrate in India instructing that a correction in date of birth be made.   (In case the applicant had actually mentioned correct date of birth in his passport application form and provided supporting documents, but the mistake was only in writing of the passport, the Judicial Magistrate's order is not required for carrying out correction of date of birth.)

For change of Profession:-

The passport booklet does not mention the holder's Profession.  However, on application the Embassy may attest an affidavit of the applicant declaring change of his profession.  Requirements for attestation of Change of Profession Affidavit:-

  •  Original Passport (including subsequent additional booklets if any)

  •  Photocopy of inside cover pages and other relevant pages of the passport.

  •  The original and a photocopy of the Affidavit (AFF 9.pdf) - to be signed before the Consular Officer of the Embassy.

  •  Relevant skill / degree certificate

  •  Letter from sponsor indicating present profession.

For change of Religion:-

The passport booklet does not mention the holder's Religion.  However, on application the Embassy may attest an affidavit of the applicant declaring his religion.  Requirements for attestation of Religion Declaration Affidavit:-

  • Original Passport (including subsequent additional booklets if any) 

  • The original and a photocopy of the Affidavit (AFF 10.pdf) - to be signed before the Consular Officer of the Embassy.

  •  Photocopy of inside cover pages and other relevant pages of the passport.

Emigration Clearance Not Required (ECNR)

(Time Required  :  One Working Day)

Eligibility for ECNR status (any one of the following):-

  •  Staying abroad for more than 3 years (either at a stretch or otherwise).

  •  Persons with 10+2 qualifications from a recognized Central/State Board or possessing higher degrees from recognized Central/State Universities.

  •  Persons possessing two years' diploma from any institute recognized by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or State Council of Vocational Training (SCVT).

  •  Professional Degree holders.

  •  Income-tax payers.

  •  Seamen in possession of CDC and sea cadets.

  •  Qualified nurses under the Indian Nursing Council Act 1947.

  •  Gazetted government servants

  •  Managerial level employees in hotels, restaurants, public resorts, etc. holding specialized degree in these fields.

  •  Spouses and dependent children (up to the age of 24 years) of the above category of persons.

  •  Persons over 50 years of age.

  •  Children below 18 years of age provided they are accompanied by any or both parents.

 

Requirements:-

  •  Application in the Miscellaneous Services Form (Form 2.pdf)

  •  Original Passport (including subsequent additional booklets if any)

  •  Photocopy of inside cover pages and other relevant pages of the passport.

  •  ECNR Affidavit (AFF8.pdf) along with a copy of the relevant documentary proof of eligibility for ECNR status.

 

Emigration Clearance suspended for Iraq (May 9, 2004)

In view of the deteriorating security situation in Iraq, the Government of India has decided to temporarily suspend grant of Emigration
Clearance for Indian citizens applying for going to Iraq directly or through Kuwait and Jordan. (As per the Ministry of Labour’s circular No. Z-11025/46/2003 Emig. dated April 15, 2004).

  •  Two passport size photographs.

  •  Letter from Embassy which has asked for Police Clearance Certificate.

In case, the present passport was issued by the Passport Issuing Authority other than Embassy of India, Riyadh (or issued by Riyadh within the last one year), a reference is made to the original/previous passport issuing authority  and may take a few weeks time for the confirmation to be received.  The PCC is issued only after receipt of such confirmation.

[ Note: Indian Nationals born in Saudi Arabia whose birth was registered with the Embassy, may apply for a duplicate copy of the Birth Certificate on payment of SR.80.  They should provide details of original registration (date and number) and also fill up Birth Certificate Form (Form 4B.pdf) in duplicate. ]

 Life Certificate

Requirements for issue of Life Certificate (for pensioners):-

  •  Original and one photocopy of the Life Certificate in the Format prescribed by the concerned Bank/Institution to be signed before the Consular Officer of the Embassy.

 *Note :  An additional Fee of SR 2 (Saudi Riyal Two) is levied on each Service as contribution towards the Indian Workers Welfare Fund (IWWF).   All fees are to be paid in Saudi Riyals in Cash at the Counter along with application.  Fees once paid are not refunded, even if the application is withdrawn or the service refused for whatsoever reason.
